Description of the project

The Erasmus+ Programme

The Erasmus+ programme aims to boost skills and employability, as well as modernising Education, Training, and Youth work.
Erasmus+ supports transnational partnerships among Education, Training, and Youth institutions and organisations to foster cooperation and bridge the worlds of Education and work in order to tackle the skills gaps we are facing in Europe.

It also supports national efforts to modernise Education, Training, and Youth systems.

Erasmus+ brings together seven existing EU programmes in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport. As an integrated programme, Erasmus+ offers more opportunities for cooperation across the EducationTrainingYouth, and Sport sectors and is easier to access than its predecessors, with simplified funding rules.

The MIND 23

The MIND 23 (Move for INclusion and Digitalization) proposal, coordinated by U.Porto partnering with 4 PT HEIs (U.Minho, UTAD and U.Aveiro), involves 11 countries from 4 extra-EU regions, covering 3 continents, in line with their Erasmus Policy Statements.

The broad consortium comprises 27 international HEIs, encompassing a wide range of study and professional fields.

MIND 23 was designed in line with: E+ ICM 21-27 requirements; institutional priorities identified by partners, according to their internationalisation strategies; respective national priorities; the broad regional guidelines; EU priorities for external policy and specific goals of the call.

To this end, the project comprises a significant number of mobility flows: 104 in total, including students and staff, IN and OUT, which will contribute to deepen mutual knowledge, strengthen cooperation, build institutional capacity and create new collaborations with several newcomer HEIs.

As for cooperation arrangements that will be put in place, U.Porto and partners will comply with the ECHE principles and ensure that international HEIs respect them, by following the conditions set out in the IIAs:

  • Region 1 - Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro
  • Region 2 - Armenia and Georgia
  • Region 6 - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan
  • Region 10 - Argentina, Brazil and Chile
